Mars - Mars is the Roman god of War. When Claire first meets Auld Alec at Castle Leoch she is reminded of the quotation "An eye like Mars, to threaten or command" (Outlander, chapter 7) When Jamie first sees Alex Randall and mistakes him for Jack Randall, he is described as standing frozen "silent as a statue of Mars" (DIA, chapter 9)
Neptune - when Ian is taken from the seal's island and Jamie wonders if God is punishing him for trying to use the treasure to be with Claire, Claire tells him that it is not wrong for them to be together as they are married in the eyes of 'God, man, Neptune, or what-have-you" (V, chapter 39) Neptune is the Roman god of the sea and freshwater
